Traditional Method
• Best for 1st timers & those serious about saving.
• More detail, explanation, guidance than Blended.
• Best for those who prefer an instructor led course.
• There is no online component for Traditional.
• Each student must have a book, per the AHA.
• Course paid by employer. Book paid by employee.
• Course is fun, informative, guaranteed to pass.
Blended Method
• Best for experienced providers & multiple renewals.
• Less detail, explanation, guidance than Traditional.
• Requires 1 hour in-person skills practice & sign-off.
• Online course must be completed prior to skills.
• No book is required for blended, per the AHA.
• Employee pays out of pocket for online portion.
• Course is fun, informative, guaranteed to pass.
How to enroll in Traditional
• Pick a course from calendar. Use form to enroll.
• Don’t choose class that says “FULL” (no seats).
• $30 book is required, unless can’t afford a book.
• Bring a book, borrow from work, or buy in class.
• No pre-course preparation is needed for Traditional.
• Read confirmation eMail thoroughly! See you soon!
