Traditional Method
In-classroom course
Blended Method
Videos online then in-classroom sign-off
• This is a traditional one day, all in classroom course.
• “First timers” will do better taking this course.
• This method is easier & more thorough than Blended.
• This course may be taken by initial & renewal students.
• Take an online course, then come in for a skills sign-off.
• “First timers” can take Blended but Traditional is easier.
• Blended offers more flexibility with skills sign-offs weekly.
• Be sure to bring completion certificates to the skills sign-off.
This course is paid by your employer.
The books however are paid by the student.
You may also borrow a book from work, home, or a friend.
BLS book $25 - ACLS book $60 - PALS book $65
This Blended Method requires the EMPLOYEE to pay for
the AHA Heartcode online course “out-of-pocket.”
Your employer may reimburse you. Ask your employer.
No book is required.

• “Mandatory Prep” (videos) must be attempted prior to class. Bring completion certificate to class.
